POLYCAB Type NM-B (Non-Metallic sheath cable) is suitable to use in indoor residential wiring including branch circuit for luminaries, outlets and switches. It may be installed in both exposed and concealed work where such area is not subjected to excessive moisture or dampness. It’s applications are defined in NEC 2008 and NEC 2011 Article no 334 with ampacity limited to that for 60°C conductor.
- Solid or stranded bare annealed copper conductor as per ASTM B3 & B8
- Heat resistant PVC insulation with a transparent layer of Nylon assembled in a flat parallel configuration including copper ground wire between two insulated cores wrapped with a flame-retardant paper.
- Heat & abrasion resistant PVC Sheath.
- Core Identification - As per NEMA WC 57 (black & white with non- insulated grounding conductor).
